FATTAH RELEASES POLICY BOOK

Wants Philadelphia voters to make educated choices on Election Day

PHILADELPHIA, PA - Mayoral candidate Chaka Fattah today released a book of his campaign's policy proposals. Fattah released the book, entitled "Chaka Fattah: Real Opportunity for All Philadelphians," so that Philadelphians can know exactly where he stands on the issues.

"I want every Philadelphian to be able to read the policies I have put forth so that they can make an educated decision on Election Day," said Fattah. "I am offering a plan to fundamentally change our city, by giving every Philadelphian real opportunity. Our fight against poverty will benefit the entire city, by expanding Philadelphia's revenue base to pay for improve city services and place our city on sound fiscal footing."

Fattah's policy book includes a summary of all of the ideas he has laid out during the course of the campaign, including expanding early education, providing after school programs for all children ages 12 to 16 and increasing college scholarship funding. The policy book also includes Fattah's plans to combat illegal guns using surveillance cameras and new technology and expanding affordable housing by adding $43 million to the Housing Trust Fund.
