PHILADELPHIA – The Philadelphia Fire Fighters Union IAFF Local 22, AFL-CIO said today that Congressman Bob Brady is their choice for Mayor of Philadelphia. The fire fighters union represents more than 10,000 of Philadelphia’s Bravest and their families. Congressman Brady was pleased to be joined by several fire fighters for the endorsement at the Engine 71 Fire Station on Cottman and Loretta Avenues.
“Fire fighters risk their lives protecting Philadelphia families each day, and for this we owe them a debt of gratitude,” said Congressman Brady. “I am incredibly proud that these brave men and women are backing my candidacy for Mayor after supporting their issues throughout my career.
“The thousands of fire fighters and family members represented by Local 22 are among the people I will fight for in city hall. I will fight to reduce crime so their children and neighbors feel safe in their homes; to improve public education, and to make them all proud of the city we love.”
