Hundreds Attend Brady Rally Against Violence as the Congressman Surges in the Polls

PHILADELPHIA – On the same day that a new Daily News poll showed Bob Brady’s support has doubled since January, the Congressman held a Rally Against Violence at Love Park. He was joined by former City Controller Jonathan Saidel and District Attorney Lynne Abraham, along with several community and labor leaders.

“Philadelphians are looking for a candidate that will be tough on crime,” Brady said. “I’ve got the toughest crime-fighter in the City on my side, and District Attorney Lynne Abraham and I are ready to fight to get our police the tools they need to make our neighborhoods safe again.”

The lunchtime crowd of nearly 1,000 people was energized, bolstered by Brady’s surge in the recent Daily News poll. Brady said he would continue to fight for every vote in the coming weeks, and pledged to bring hope back to our city.

“We still have a long way to go, and we will fight for every vote from now until the polls close on May 15. As some campaigns begin to flat line we’re still takin’ our message to the streets. My priorities are safer streets, better schools and improved job opportunities for all Philadelphians—the same as yours.”

As the next Mayor of Philadelphia Bob Brady will bring hope back to our city by fighting crime, investing in education and creating opportunity for all Philadelphians. www.bobbradyworks.com
