FATTAH APPLAUDS RENDELL'S REFORM AGENDA

Calls Rendell's reform efforts 'a positive step forward for Pennsylvania.'

PHILADELPHIA, PA - Mayoral Candidate Chaka Fattah today called Governor Rendell's reform agenda "a positive step forward for Pennsylvania."

"The machinery of government in Pennsylvania needs to be updated," said Fattah. "I commend Governor Rendell for taking the lead on enacting reform in our Commonwealth. While I am not in agreement with all of the details, I strongly support the spirit in which Governor Rendell has put forth this proposal."

In particular, Chaka Fattah supports state-wide campaign finance overhaul that ensures a level playing field for all candidates. For this reason, he would support a Millionaire's Amendment provision be added to the Governor's proposal.
