WHO: Michael Nutter, Mayoral Candidate
WHAT: Greeting Commuters at SEPTA Subway Stops
WHERE: 52nd & Market Streets on Feb. 9 Time: 7 a.m. – 9 a.m.
WHY: Mayoral candidate Michael Nutter will greet morning SEPTA commuters throughout February to share his vision for Philadelphia and to listen to theirs. Early morning SEPTA stop visits have become an important staple of Nutter’s campaign for mayor.
“Even at an early hour, the people I meet are excited to discuss the future of Philadelphia,” said Nutter. “They care a great deal about the city and are excited to hear what I will do for them as mayor.”
Nutter’s vision for the city and his ability to connect with Philadelphians has given him a wide base of supporters. As of Dec. 31, 2006, Nutter received donations from more than 1,400 donors, the highest number of any candidate.
Nutter will greet subway commuters around the city during rush hour from 7 a.m. to 9 a.m. He will also be distributing campaign information and Nutter Butter sandwich cookies, in that order.

Tuesday, Feb. 13: Broad and Girard streets
Friday, Feb. 16: Broad and Oregon streets
Tuesday, Feb. 20: Frankford Transit Center

Tuesday, Feb. 27: Broad and Olney streets
