Philadelphia, PA: Today, Matt McClure, a candidate for the Democratic nomination for the 4th Councilmanic District, announced that he has raised over $72,000 in just seven months for his campaign last year.  McClure, who filed his end of the year report with the City of Philadelphia today, still has almost $69,000 cash-on-hand as of December 31.

The first time candidate, who began raising campaign funds in early June, raised $72,135 and has $68,943 remaining.  McClure received contributions from 252 different donors, with 194 contributing $250.00 or less.  Said McClure, “I’m honored at the large out-pouring of support from so many.  I think this clearly demonstrates the large number of Philadelphians who want change.”

McClure, who will be officially announcing his candidacy this Saturday at 3402 Penn Street, lives with his wife and two children in East Falls.
