DWIGHT EVANS TO DISCUSS PUBLIC SAFETY PLAN WITH VICTIMS OF VIOLENCE
PHILADELPHIA --- Dwight Evans will host a roundtable discussion on his public safety plan with a group of victims of violence and other interested participants at Magee Rehabilitation Hospital on Thursday, January 25th from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM. Evans released his detailed plan for making Philadelphia safer during his announcement for Mayor before more than 1,200 supporters on December 11th; his campaign slogan is “A Safer Philadelphia – Block by Block.”
Evans will meet with and hear from several victims of violence who work at or are undergoing treatment at Magee Rehabilitation Hospital. Located in Center City and given its prestigious rehabilitation care unit, Magee Hospital has treated a number of victims of violence in Philadelphia. Evans hopes to share his vision for a safer Philadelphia and receive input from the participants on how together they can work to reduce the wave of violence that is crippling our city.
