MAYORAL CANDIDATE DWIGHT EVANS TO DISCUSS PUBLIC SAFETY PLAN WITH PHYSICIANS

PHILADELPHIA --- Mayoral candidate Dwight Evans will host a roundtable discussion on his public safety plan with a group of emergency room physicians and other doctors at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital on Tuesday, January 16th from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM. Evans released his detailed plan for making Philadelphia safer during his announcement for Mayor before more than 1,200 supporters on December 11th; his campaign slogan is “A Safer Philadelphia – Block by Block.”

Evans will meet with and hear from several emergency room physicians and other doctors at Jefferson Hospital. Located in Center City and given its prestigious trauma care unit, Jefferson Hospital has treated a number of victims of violence in Philadelphia. Evans hopes to share his vision for a safer Philadelphia and receive input from the physicians on how together they can work to reduce the wave of violence that is crippling our city.
