I know how powerful Philadelphians can be when we work toward a common goal. I saw it as a teenager while working with my family to impact the lives of thousands of young men at the House of Umoja. I've seen it during my 25 years of public service to the people of Philadelphia - from my years in the City Housing Office to my time in the state House, state Senate, and the U.S. House of Representatives. I see it now in the commitment of hard-working people like you.

With your help, we will win the battle to provide real opportunity to all Philadelphians. And we will work night and day to bring opportunity to every corner of this city. Real opportunity in our schools so that our young people choose hope instead of hate. Real opportunity so that our seniors can walk to the store without fear. Real opportunity so that the world looks to this city as more than the birthplace of Democracy, but as the place where the great American city was reborn.

During this holiday season, let's resolve to make Philadelphia a city of real opportunity, of shared responsibility, and of limitless promise for all of us. Again, thank you for your commitment to the Fattah for Mayor campaign. Thank you for your commitment to Philadelphia.
