JOINS STATE SENATOR ANTHONY WILLIAMS
ON TOUR OF 60th STREET BUSINESS CORRIDOR
PHILADELPHIA – Mayoral candidate Dwight Evans will join State Senator Anthony Williams and community activists at 10:30 a.m., Thurs., Dec. 21, 2006 for a walking tour of the 60th Street business corridor in West Philadelphia. Evans and others will get a first-hand look at a SEPTA reconstruction project impacting businesses; visit long-standing establishments such as Hills Barber Shop; and meet with owners of new businesses such as Super Clean Laundry Center. Business owners in the neighborhood have concerns about the slow pace at which the corridor is being developed.
