State Representative Dwight Evans will join a host of elected officials, police chiefs and district attorneys from Southeastern Pennsylvania in discussing violence in the region and developing initiatives to restore safety and security to citizens of the five-county area. Evans, the architect of the Blueprint for a Safer Philadelphia and a leading authority on the issue of illegal handguns, is the driving force behind the state legislature’s decision to hold a special session on crime and violence on September 26th.
