WHAT: On Display: More than 250 firearms, including handguns, rifles, sawed-off shotguns and other weapons turned in to Police on Monday at the North Columbia YMCA in the “Groceries for Guns Initiative” organized by Councilwoman Reynolds Brown in partnership with Congressman Fattah and John Dougherty/IBEW Local 98. Officials in this Martin Luther King Day initiative will discuss the success of the grocery voucher buyback and its impact on the “Gun Safe Philadelphia” campaign to reduce gun violence.
